Math 206B: Introduction to Graduate Algebra, Winter 2015
Welcome. This is the second part of a year-long course in algebra. We will study abstract linear algebra, groups and group actions, rings and algebras, fields and Galois theory. The aim of the course is to use the abstract theory to gain an intuition for working with concrete examples and gain experience in understanding and producing sound mathematical arguments.
